Carnival is an ancient festival and the Carnival of Fano (which takes place just 10 km from our hotel) is the oldest carnival in Italy!
It includes carnival mask courses, shows for children with entertainment, dancing, food stands, great fireworks closing with auspicious burning of « Pupo ».
But the Carnival of Fano is especially great parades of floats, masquerades, performances by folk groups and music and the traditional throwing of candy and sweets (planned for Sunday, 1, 8 and 15 February)!
